Victor
calls Jodie, the hospital has most of the lights off since it’s a very slow
night and there are few patients. Jane gives Victor some papers, he’s never
seen her before he asks her why, she explains that she usually works nights.
Chuny asks Victor why he’s still there. Pratt is on the phone for Victor,
after Pratt has said what he needed to Victor tells him about the letters he
keeps getting from Bobby. Victor leaves with Jerry, he offers to go to Ike’s
for a drink but Jerry is getting picked up. As he walks down the road he is
disturbed by something and steps into the shadows of a building, the man he
gave vicodin to passes by and Victor lunges out and grabs him thinking its
Bobby.
Kerry is in her last rehab session,
the man tells her she can go back to work now. Kerry tells him she has been
back to keep up on paperwork as he hands her the crutch he tells her that she
wont have to keep up with the crutch anymore.
Three traumas come in, Morris takes
the first, Abby takes the second, and Luka takes the third, Alex’s father.
Abby treats a girl, Ruthie who has her dog Bob with her. She was in a low
speed car accident, Ruthie was driving. The Grandmother didn’t know about
this. Abby proceeds to check out the cause of Ruthie’s Grandmothers cough.
Morris’s patient, Lenore had fallen
off a ladder. Morris is wearing a suit because he is looking to start a job in
pharmaceuticals but decides its best if he took it off so Jane holds his coat
while he works, making a joke that she always wanted to be in a trauma and get
to hold his coat.
While Abby examines Grandmother she
finds that she has trouble with time, thinking that Easter is coming up when
it was a week after Easter. Dr. Albright comes down for Morris’ patient, fluid
in the stomach. Albright wants to prep for the OR but Morris wants to get a CT
first.
Sam
goes into Steve’s room, he tells her that he is happy for her, his BP is
normal so Sam leaves. Neela runs the chart by Victor, he tells Neela to sign
him out but Neela wants to repeat his CBC.
Abby finds that the Grandmother had
dementia, Ruthie says she can take care of her Grandmother but Ruthie might be
placed in foster care. Albright comes down to see what is taking Morris so
long to bring his patient up, as they are going down the hallway arguing over
what the patient needed Morris determined that no surgery was needed.
Kerry comes into the ER, she puts
her crutch in her locker and heads toward the elevator. She greets everyone on
her way over. Luka thinks Ruthie should be put into foster care but Abby
disagrees, Ruthie runs out.
Franks gives Neela Steve’s test
results, Dr. Albright, Neela, and Sam agree that Steve’s appendix may have
ruptured but Victor disagrees. When they go back into the room Steve has no
pulse and is septic, they rush him up to OR 3. Victors phone rings, its Bobby
so he hangs up. Ruthie comes back into the ER with a few bags and goes into
her Grandmothers room. Victor is talking to Abby, he wants her to write him a
prescription for some drugs to help him sleep. Jerry tells Abby that Ruthie is
back, Ruthie shows Abby the books she bought to help her help at home.
Albright hunts Morris down to yell at him but instead she kisses him.
Olivia
comes down, Jerry gives her a letter from Pratt, it has earrings in it, too
bad they weren’t her earrings. On the plane Pratt introduces himself to the
woman sitting next to him, Fatima Abakar, she works for the government. She
describes to him the horrors and conditions of the IDP camps. Once he landed
his bags are getting searched, Debbie and Brahm come over to pick him up. On
the drive to Darfur camp the Janjaweed ride up along side on horses. They tell
them that they are just doctors they are not armed, they kick Brahm in the
face, search the truck and then ruin it as well as take Pratt’s shoes. Before
they walk to the camp Pratt grabs his bottle of Listerine out of his bag, he
his shocked when he sees the camp. After he bandages his feet he meets Dr.
Dakarai and Carter gives him a pair of shoes to wear. Pratt takes a tour with
Carter, Pratt gives Carter all of the latest news, they see a fight, a
Janjaweed getting beaten to death, they all watch.

WISE BEYOND HER YEARS- NOAH WYLE AND DIANE LADD GUEST STAR--
Abby (Maura Tierney) senses that something is not quite right when a grandmother
(Guest star Diane Ladd) and her 12 year-old granddaughter are brought into the
ER. Sam's (Linda Cardellini) imprisoned ex-husband Steve (Garret Dillahunt) is
brought into the ER and all the doctors assume that he is faking, but when
further tests prove otherwise, Steve finds his way to the operating table.
Meanwhile, tensions run high when Morris (Scott Grimes) and Albright (Dahlia
Salem) argue over a patient, but when Morris denies a surgery, Albright quickly
changes her tune. Meanwhile, Pratt (Mekhi Phifer) heads to Africa to help Carter
(Noah Wyle) and quickly realizes how difficult life will be. Laura Innes, Goran
Visnjic, Parminder Nagra and Shane West also star. TV-14
