Kerry comes into work on her day off and Luka insists on her going home but she is already there so its no use. Morris tells the staff that there is a blood shortage so they shouldn’t use it if they don’t need it. Kerry goes upstairs and Dr. Kline tells her she shouldn’t have cancelled because its messing up his schedule, Kerry says that she’s sorry about messing his schedule up but the ER comes first.

Ray is treating a man with a lot of gold jewelry, the rings and bracelets are cutting off his circulation and the necklaces are eroding into his skin. Kerry finds a kielbasa in the drug fridge and Abby tells her that its Jerry’s. Abby shows Kerry a picture of her baby and Kerry accidentally walks into a cart and it only makes her hip hurt worse.

Neela comes in with a container of cookies that people can eat. A triple trauma comes in, a car that hit a jogger. Kerry is going between trauma rooms to see if they need anything. Morris’s patient, the jogger, is bleeding internally. Luka sees Kerry take a few pills, Luka tells Neela to see if Kerry needs anything when she goes next door. They don’t need a surgical consult and are ok otherwise so Neela leaves. Kerry drops a syringe on the floor, Ray and Sam watch as she tries to pick it up but she cant so Sam picks it up. Pratt has a patient in exam room three who swallowed a light bulb and needs surgery to get it out but Neela can’t do it because she has the patients from the trauma to see to first. Morris got the x-ray on the jogger man and calls Neela over so she can look at it. The passenger of the car asks Abby to call her parents for her, she has an elevated temperature and she wants to know when her bruises will go away. Abby and Chuny look at her arms and legs. Abby tells Chuny to put on a mask and make sure that the girl stays in isolation. She walked into the other trauma room where the driver of the car was being pronounced. She says that they have ‘Menager proxima’. The other girl had all the symptoms and it looks like this one does too. Sam leaves to call infection control and they need prophylaxis for all the staff since they were exposed. The mother and father are there and they ask Kerry about when they can see their daughter but they can’t until she is moved into the ICU. They want to know how their daughter got it but Kerry tells them that Public Health will have to figure that out. The parents and their other children need to be treated. Frank says that he better not get it because he can’t even pronounce it. Abby is worried about taking the antidote because she isn’t sure that its safe for the baby.

Richard Elliot comes into the ER needing a blood transfusion because he has M.D.S. Frank gets on the intercom "Will the owner of the ginormous SUV parked outside please move said vehicle, your blocking the ambulance bay, you will be towed." Mr. Elliot tries to leave but Morris advises him not to and he stays for the transfusion.

Luka offers to get Abby a hot chocolate because it would make her feel better but Abby doesn’t want a hot chocolate and she doesn’t want to feel better, she just wants to worry about the baby and wants Luka to worry too. Luka asks her how long he should worry and she tells him for about 10 or 20 minutes, so they both get a hot chocolate. Ray is working on cutting the mans rings off, when he finishes he goes up to the desk and sees a pizza. Frank says its from Luka, his way of saying sorry I exposed you to a deadly bacteria. Neela comes down and says that jogger is fine but everyone in surgery has to take Zithro because of her. She asks why no one has eaten her cookies so she offers it to Morris who takes one, behind Neela’s back Frank shakes his head and Morris tells her he will eat it after lunch. Frank explains that the cookies will give you a 3 day bellyache and he sticks a biohazard sticker on the container. Ray asks Neela when she’s coming home because he is having another girl friend over.

Abby sees Kerry in Trauma 2 trying to pick something up so Abby walks in. "Looks like fun can anybody play" Kerry explains that she’s practicing because she gave up on the idea of a new hip since its not a good time to be off her feet with the ER and Henry. Abby tells Kerry that Henry is only going to get more active, that its never a good time. Luka comes in with a boy who got punched by another basketball fan in a bar fight, his friends are in the hall fighting Pratt tells them its not a playground and goes into the trauma room. They intubate the bar fight guy and are about to bring him up to C.T. when he goes into an abnormal rhythm, they shock him and then bring him upstairs. Kerry and Abby are in the lounge, Kerry’s upset about giving up her crutch because that’s who she is.

Sam is with Mr. Elliot when Chuny brings Alex in, he got beaten up and his cell phone was stolen. Pratt finds Luka and tells him about when he switched his blood with his friends when his friend was drunk. Morris asks Abby what she thinks they’re talking about because it looks serious, Abby tells him that they are talking about him, it takes a while for Morris to realize it’s a joke. Neela is about to leave and she asks for her cookies, Frank gives them to her, Ray and Morris come over to tell her that her cookies are the worst in the history of baking, she takes them and leaves. Kerry is going to do a shoulder reduction but Ray takes it instead since it would be painful for her to do so Kerry asks Frank to get Dr. Kline on the phone. Luka tells Pratt the consequences of his actions, to go on a 5 day vacation starting now, to not enjoy it, to not have fun, and to think about what it means to be a doctor. Up stairs, Kerry hears the risks of anesthesia. Sam offers Mr. Elliot a ride home and he offers her a job as his home care nurse. At the Spouse Club Neela tries to explain that she supports her husband but she doesn’t support the war, this seems to shock everyone else who is there. Abby goes upstairs to visit Kerry before her surgery. She asks Abby to be Henry’s legal guardian if something happens to her, that its hard for her to be alone but she felt she could always depend on Abby, so Abby signs the papers. Neela comes home to find Ray got stood up by his date and Neela wonders if she can even kick herself out of the club because she just did. Kerry goes into surgery and has to count down from one hundred. 100, 99, 98, 97, 96, 95...
