It's raining and Abby goes across the street for coffee. Morris is taking care of a woman with a neck brace, Eve wants to treat her clinically but Morris wants to do a thorough exam. Kerry comes into the ER and slips on the wet floor, Morris catchers her and tells her that he just saved her life. The ER is backed up because everyone else is closed and there are a lot of patients minor car accidents. Kerry tells Morris to clear the board and not bother with a full work-up. As Abby’s crossing the street to head back into the ER a man nearly runs her over so she throws her coffee at him.

Morris tells Neela that she still needs to do her ride along. Haleh comes in she’s covering for Conni, Eve reminds her of her over time and sends her home, she asks Sam to cover until she can find a replacement. Sam agrees since she never gets a chance to see her son anyway. Morris slips on the floor and his papers fly everywhere.

A girl who is in a coma comes into the ER. Luka takes care of her and finds out that she’s been in the coma for 9 years. Eve sticks Sam on triage now that Luka’s in work, Luka asks Kerry to do something about it but since Eve is the nurse manager there isn’t anything that she can do. A trauma is coming in, car crashed into a wall, Neela takes the mother, Judy Anderson, and tells Kerry to take care of the baby, Grace.

Abby asks Dubenko if he is doing ok because she saw him upstairs earlier. He says he’s fine but he was diagnosed with prostate cancer. Abby offers to have coffee if he wants to talk about it. She goes to the desk and asks Frank if there’s anything besides car crashes, he says that there was a guy who was complaining about "getting skulled" by a nurse throwing coffee at him when he drove by, Abby tells him that it was probably someone from the ICU because "they’re really wacky up there."

A man with chest pain comes into the ER, followed by Kerry and Grace. Judy is telling the police about the car that was chasing her. She probably broke her breast bone. Kerry wants to intubate Grace just incase but Luka disagrees. Neela tells Judy that they haven’t found anybody yet but it’s a little too early to tell.

Jerry hands Kerry a stack of messages, she forgot that Henry’s birthday was tomorrow so she asks Jerry to run out and get something for her. He is a little nervous about the lightning because he is a pretty big target so Kerry tells him to run in a zigzag line. He still doesn’t really want to go so Kerry asks him if he is afraid that he will melt. Eve hands Kerry Grace’s test results when Bradley Anderson comes in to see his wife and daughter. Sam and Luka talk and Frank reminds them that they’re supposed to stay 50 feet apart from each other but Sam doesn’t really seem to care.

Abby’s chest pain man who came in earlier didn’t have a heart attack but he has to stay for observation. The woman he’s with, Shawna, leaves because she has another appointment, she isn’t his wife she’s his ‘satisfaction facilitator’. Dubenko comes down for some coffee with Abby.

Kerry brings Brad in to see his wife, Grace is doing ok. Brad tells Judy that he is going to stay with Grace for a while, when he leaves Judy begins to cry. Ray is working in the venom lab, he gets a call from a woman worried about Venus Fly traps being poisonous and he makes a joke out of it, only to be told that it isn’t a funny matter.

As Abby and Dubenko are drinking coffee he explains the surgery and all of the potential outcomes, he tells Abby that he wants to go down swinging and he wants it to be with Abby but she doesn’t think it’s a good idea. Abby goes over to bring in a GSW.

Judy doesn’t want to look at the books of people who are suspects, she explains that she didn’t know that Grace’s seat wasn’t clicked in, she didn’t know what was going on, she confesses to causing the accident. Neela wants to get a psych consult for Judy and Brad wants to know how much longer they have to stay in the hospital.

Eve is on a mission to clear the beds, Luka is waiting for someone from the nursing home to pick up the girl who fell back into her coma. A woman named Trish Gorman comes in to take her. A man, Lawrence Digby, was hit by a car and brought into the ER so Luka takes him into a trauma room.

Psych talks to Judy, she denies everything she said to Neela, she explains that she’s not stressed or depressed, she just wants to go home. The psychiatrist says that its postpartum depression, they can’t put her on a hold. Neela tells Kerry that psych wont admit Judy. Frank asks about Jerry’s whereabouts, Sam cant believe that Kerry sent him out in the rain. Lawrence’s kids come in and Sam brings them back to see their dad, Eve tells Sam she can go home now.

Neela argues about keeping Judy overnight for observation but Brad is set on bringing them home. The float nurses cause some problems during a trauma because they a not accustom to it and don’t know where anything is. Inez tells Luka that Blaire is waking up and wants to know where her mom is. The last thing she remembers is the accident.

Sam goes over to Inez who was talking to Eve and tells her that she can come to her for help anytime. Shawna runs into Abby before she leaves, she begins to tell Abby that if she ever needs a therapist, but Abby spots Dubenko and tells her that she knows someone.
