 This
episode starts in Alex's room, where we see the X-Ray hanging on Alex's wall,
that Luka Kovac took of his skull. Samantha Taggart wakes Alex up, and reminds
him she has to go to work. It is a Saturday. Once Sam is at work, we see Abby,
Neela, and Lester each in front of a laptop. They are taking tests, and Abby
complains because they are too hard. Lester is on number fifty, Abby is on
number forty-one, and Neela is finished with her test. Abby does not like
being a med-student very much. She is going to med-school for a doctor,
because she was a nurse. When Abby is about 3/4 done with the tests, Frank
starts piling things up on her. She insists that her nursing shift has not
started yet, but she has to hurry to finish her test. When she is finished
with her test, she hurries up, taking the work, and heading out to see Mr.
Benitez, to take his vitals. As Gallant comes in, Frank tells him Valerie
called. She can't wait to see him, and her plane is arriving at 3:10. As
everyone stares at Gallant, he lets them know that Valerie is his sister.
Pratt is dumb-founded, thinking he had every girl in town. Everyone then asks
Gallant about his sister, and he tells them that they are twins. Lester feels
like adding to the conversation, so he let's everyone know he wore fishnets
and stilettos when he was in High School. Next, the camera views Neela,
Gallant, and Pratt, all standing around a table, wondering why Romano was the
center of the canvas.
 Frank
announces Romano's ceremony is today, in the church, at the hospital. Neela
says, " Poor man." as she hears about Romano's death. Although some people are
grieving, some people are silently cheering. Corday is managing something to
say, and the rest of the co-workers want to draw sticks to see who's going.
They all hated Romano. Next, we see Sam and Alex walking to the memorial for
Romano outside, with Elizabeth Corday standing there. Sam tells Alex that he
died in the helicopter crash, and Elizabeth looks at the picture of him and
her in their surgery caps, both grinning merrily. While the paramedics wheel
in a seventeen-year-old girl named Johanna, Corday catches Weaver, and asks
her to say something at the memorial. Johanna's boyfriend, who was shot in the
chest, is right behind them. Later, Weaver hands the speaking part off to
Susan Lewis. While Thomas, Johanna's boyfriend, is lying on the gurney, he
wonders if Johanna is okay. Abby points to the next door.
Meanwhile,
next door, Johanna is telling the doctors how it happened. Suddenly, Alex is
visible through the glass trauma doors. He is watching Luka Kovac work, and he
follows Luka, when Luka goes into trauma room number two, by walking by the
glass doors. Next, you see Sam and Alex walking down the hall. While Neela is
working on a patient, she receives a phone call. She excuses herself, walks
outside, and speaks Punjabi to someone on the telephone. The last thing she
says is in English, which is, " No! I said I can't come." She hangs up, and
goes back into the room to continue working. Sam plops Alex down into a chair
in reception, and tells him to study for a math test. Susan says a few words
to Alex, and walks out. Meanwhile, Luka and Frank are talking about Luka going
back to Africa to the Congo for a little while.
Luka
talks with Alex about wrestling, and Alex admits to Luka that he hates
wrestling. Frank joins into the conversation. Luka then tells Alex to go away.
We then cut to a scene where Luka is bandaging Alex's arm, so he can get out
of gym class. A guy next door is saying there is nothing wrong with the kid,
and so Luka closes the curtain. Pratt then has Luka sign off a chart, which
needs to be done. We then cut to a scene where Sam is wheeling a guy, along
with paramedics, who lost four fingers. Alex, who is always getting into
trouble, goes into the trauma room, and when no one sees him, he grabs a
finger. Next, we see Neela who is talking to Johanna. Johanna tells Neela that
she went to the South Side just for getting some illegal drugs. Thomas and
Johanna have grown up together, but have only dated for a year. Thomas ends up
just having a broken leg, and not a major injury from the bullet. They are
going to admit him, which means that they are going to have to call their
parents. As Johanna doesn't want them to call their parents, Thomas does. It
cuts back to the scene where the guy with the fingers is, and Susan Lewis is
confused. There are now three fingers, when their was four. Sam goes to Alex,
and after fighting with him, receives it back. Everyone at the front desk is
looking for the finger, in the garbage, etc. They all can not seem to find it.
Sam then gets mad, because she finds out Luka put the fake splint on Alex's
arm. Alex admits he hid it in the lounge refrigerator.
Sam
thinks Alex made the story up, with the story about the wrestling thing.
Pratt, Haleh, and a Medic now appear with a little girl about five to six
years of age, and is a Jane Doe. She has no identification on her, and Abby
thinks Somebody must be looking for her. Johanna and Thomas turn out to be
fifteen to sixteen years of age, and are Amish. Jane Doe is crashing in the
trauma room, and everyone is trying warm blankets. Elizabeth is seen at the
funeral looking at the cookies. Neela and Susan Lewis are working on Mr.
Benitiez, the one Abby was taking the vitals on. Luka approaches Sam, and
apologizes. She then tells him he knows nothing about raising kids, and to
stay out. She doesn't want things getting weird. Ken, a guy from social
services, goes to Abby, and tells her that the parents are on their way, and
Abby sincerely thanks him. But when the parents arrive, sadly, Jane Doe is
still Jane Doe. The girl was not theirs. Gallant later finds his sister,
Valerie, in the lounge.
Neela
comes to Luka for some help, and Luka gets mad and walks away. Susan Lewis
then comes into the picture, and scolds Neela for asking Luka. The Amish
mother shows up, and then proceeds to try to tell Johanna and Thomas it's time
to come home, because they got into fatality trouble. Thomas is ready to come
home, but Johanna doesn't want to come home. As Abby, Neela, and Lester trade
papers after correcting them, Neela lies, and tells Abby she did not finish
correcting hers. Gallant and Valerie meet up into the lounge, and then walk
outside, where they meet Pratt. Pratt invites them to dinner with him, to
Ike's across the street, Gallant and Valerie were already going there, and so
they all go out to dinner. But, Gallant has the look on his face like he wants
to beat up Pratt. The little girl wakes up at the end of the episode, and
tells Weaver her name.
