The episode starts with Kerry making an argument for keeping the Erie - street clinic open. I think it's at the City Hall. The board is giving her a hard time, but eventually wins. Alderman Bright thinks she has all the skills she needs to be a great politician. He then asks Kerry if she wants to help a friend of him who also has syphilis (reference to previous episode where Alderman Bright is treated for syphilis. He wanted to remain a secret, So Kerry treats the syphilis off the record). Kerry tells him that she could lose her license to practice medicine. He then tells her he can't guarantee that County will be funded next year. The might shut down the ER.

Carter and Gamma are in the car on the way to I don't know actually. They talk about Abby and him and John wants to give the ring back. Gamma says that for a long time she wanted to make Carter's decision's. But found out that she put to much pressure on him and wants him to make his own choices. So John keeps the ring and Gamma says the he can give it to whom ever he wants.

Gallant is thinking about doing his residency at County General in Emergency medicine. Frank kind of makes fun out of him, but Gallant can have it.

Susan asks Abby about her and Carter. She thinks they're doing good, a bit weird, but better since the whole Eric thing (Abby's brother).

A girl comes in that looks like she has been beating up. Luka thinks she is a street kid. She has a hemorrhage behind eye ( I don't know medical terms sorry, not an MD)

Elizabeth is taking over now. A psychiatrist asks Luka why he didn't show up for his sessions. Luka simply forgot. He makes a new appointment at seven.

All along the episode we here Luka talking to a psychiatrist. He talks about why he is a doctor, and what's so charming about the job. I think he is becoming the old Luka again. (thank god, I really like Luka, he always has his hair cool).

Luka is waiting outside for the rain to stop and get some coffee at Doc Magoo's. Abby comes outside and waiting for an ambulance to bring in an old lady who fell.

Elizabeth is with the Molly (the streetkid) and we soon learn that her parents sent her to a 'bootcamp' for children who can't get along with their parents. Molly also claims that a camp supervisor beat her up, and they even raped a girl there.

A man comes in the ER and asks for Kerry. We soon find out that is Keith Mitchell, the boyfriend of Alderman Bright. He is here for the syphilis.

Kerry walks with him to a more private room and gives him the shot of penicillin.

A few scenes later we meet Molly's mother. Elizabeth finds it strange that the camp called her. She finds out that Molly made the whole story up. She wasn't attacked. The mother tells Elizabeth that she was very difficult to raise. Always breaking things, lying, and now she starts drinking and using drugs.

Dr. Anspaugh comes down to talk to Kerry. He wants her and Dr. Romano to see for a meeting. Kerry then is being called by Frank to come and look at a patient she treated earlier. Its Keith Mitchell, the boyfriend of Alderman Bright. It looks like he had an allergic reaction.

Susan want to know why Kerry treated him. She finds out that he is an employee at the city hall, and Susan gets suspicious. Kerry then intubate's Keith.

Susan's suspicion is confirmed when she finds out that Keith also has an ulcer on his penis just like Alderman Bright. While they talk he wakes up and Kerry wants to talk with him privately. She tells Keith that he can't tell anyone that the Alderman send him to treat the syphilis off the record. He agrees.

Carter and Abby discuss a treatment for a patient and he noticed the smoking patch on Abby's back. He first thinks it's a birth control patch (funny didn't know one existed). He is a bit offended that she didn't tell him that she quit. (they both can make such a big deal out of nothing, I have never seen them happy together actually).

Kerry hears a loud noise coming out of Trauma 2 and see that Molly noticed her mother being there. Elizabeth is having trouble keeping her calm. She calls her names and doesn't want to have her here. Things get out of hand and they have to restrain her...

Kerry's patient Keith gets extubated and Susan asks him a couple of question's. He replies everything Kerry told him to earlier.

Gallant treats a little boy with an ear infection. He gives him a balloon to calm down. Kovac supervises. Gallant also wants Luka to write a recommendation letter for his residency. But Luka say's no.

Keith has a perforation in his stomach. It's not going good. Abby calls Corday but is busy helping Molly. She needs to suck out the hemorrhage that is blocking the optic nerve in Molly's eye. In all the commotion her mother is calming her down ( Mother-Daughter love in the end). Elizabeth is needed on Keith who needs surgery to repair the perforation.

Luka talks to Molly and suggests that she makes up with her mother again. She asks if he wants to talk to her mother.

In the next scene we see Kerry watching from the observing gallery how Elizabeth is operating on Keith.

Gallant and Luka are treating a patient and Romano comes down for a surgical consult. He gets stuck with his arm between the bed and what do you call it. It's a pretty funny scene. But Romano doesn't like it.

Gallant's little patient (the one witch he gave the balloon to) is having trouble breathing and the mother shouts that someone helps him. Luka comes and successfully gets a piece of balloon out of his mouth. It seems that the little kid bit on the balloon and it popped in his mouth. Gallant blames himself, he was just trying to calm the kid.

Kerry is up at surgery and runs into Dr. Anspaugh. She was actually waiting for Alderman Bright. Anspaugh say's she needs to hurry up cause he needs to be in surgery soon. The Alderman arrives and Kerry kind of freak's out. They go into a private room and we soon learn that Keith didn't make it. She is shocked en doesn't want to see the Alderman ever again. It seems like he is more into saving his own ass, then caring about a life.

We then turn to the short meeting that Anspaugh, Romano and Kerry have. It actually all comes down that Kerry has been made Chief of Staff. What will happen to Romano we don't know.

Elizabeth is checking out Romano's arm (after the incident with the bed). He opens up to her and tells her that he knows that nobody really like's him, and that he might offended a few people, but he has always been honest, and he didn't deserve the loss of his arm.

Again Carter and Abby are having trouble in there relationship.. Carter asks Abby if she is changing for him or for herself, with the smoking patch and the AA-guy. She knows that Carter wanted to ask her to marry in the restaurant.

It again ends up in a fight and Carter goes to his car. We see Abby walk away and a minute later we see a jeep..... It's Carter. They share a hug and Carter gives her a kiss on her head.

Luka is talking with Molly's mother but it didn't work out well, she actually gets more upset so Elizabeth takes over (with Ella in her arms, the sweetest kid). They end up getting nowhere and the mother tells Elizabeth that she needs to enjoy Ella when she is still that age !

Now this scene is a really nice one. Luka comes in the Doctor lounge and Gallant is going through some files. Gallant tells him that he is sorry for what happened to the boy with the balloon. Luka say's that he needs to forget it, this stuff happens. He say's ' I think your one of the best medical student's the ER had since long time, this place is lucky to have you !' . Really liked that scene, it shows some emotion's from Luka. I think Gallant is really good. He is polite and I really like that.

The episode ends with Luka sitting with a female shrink, the one were we hear him talk to all along the episode. He tells her that he is thinking to go back to Croatia.

The psychiatrist then say's that they have 15 minutes left, and if he wants to talk or that they should get to work. Luka then stands up and walk's in her direction.

Back at the admin desk the press conference of Kerry and the Alderman announcing the death of Keith Mitchell is on the news. We then see Kerry head off to home and the episode fade's out....

I just want so say the I love ER and have a good time all !!
