The ER staff are sneaking around preparing a farewell party for Dr. Finch.  This is her last day at the hospital.  The only problem is, they are still waiting for her to arrive.  Dr. Gallant finally gets the pleasure of meeting Dr. Weaver.  Peter goes into the lounge and sees Nicole there.  She scrambles around when he enters, as if she is hiding something or surprised that someone came into the room.  Peter's DNA results have arrived for him.  He opens it up and is very upset about what he reads.

Mark tends to a patient with heart problems.  He is a little rough and Susan comments to him about his bedside manners.  Cleo arrives down in the ER and sees her "surprise" going away cake.  She doesn't seem to care.

There has been an accident due to a massive storm and Weaver tells Gallant to go with her outside to await the ambulance.  Mark is still thinking about what Susan had told him about his bedside manner, so he asks Abby if she thinks he is too mean to his patients.  They are heading to the roof to pickup a patient being transported by helicopter.  It is a boy named Daniel who nearly drowned in the storm.  Marl learns that Daniel's younger brother is still missing out in the storm and his name is Joey.  The rain is pouring and Gallant offers to get Weaver a jacket, but she refuses.  He is from the military.  Cleo sees Peter, who is on the phone with an attorney.  She looks concerned and he tells her that he is not Reese's biological father.  She leaves with him, missing out on her own party.  A pedestrian is being brought in to the ER after being struck by a car.  It is a hit and run; the car never stopped after hitting her and her dog.  There is also a pregnant, stab wound patient being brought in, but the ambulance has been hit.  Kerry grabs Gallant and they head to the accident scene.  Mark and Abby are still taking care of Daniel.  Kerry and Gallant arrive at the accident scene.  It is still storming bad with lightning and strong wind.  Doris is the paramedic who was driving the ambulance and she is trapped inside.  Vicky, the pregnant woman who was stabbed, is in the back of the ambulance.  Lightning strikes a power pole and it falls.  Gallant sees a paramedic in the way of the pole and he pushes the paramedic out of the way of it, but the paramedic is electrocuted anyways.

Brody is the name of the paramedic who was electrocuted.  Kerry reprimands Gallant for putting himself in danger.  An electrical wire is bouncing back and forth on top of the ambulance and Vicky is still trapped inside.  Kerry takes a chance of her own and jumps into the back of the ambulance, risking being electrocuted.  Carter and Susan tend to the woman who was struck by a car.  The woman was trying to save her dog, but the dog died.  Susan assures the woman that the dog probably died fast with little pain.  Mark and Abby are still working on Daniel.  Daniel is concerned that his brother Joey has drowned.  He tells Mark that his brother is only six.  Kerry is still taking care of Vicky, who is in active labor.  Another power line breaks and Gallant jumps inside of the ambulance also.  Kerry needs to deliver the baby surgically.  The unborn baby is only at thirty-six weeks.  Kerry will need to do a c-section.  Gallant asks her when was the last time she has done this procedure.  Peter and Cleo go to see a lawyer.  They are told that Roger needs to receive visitation rights until this is resolved.  Vicky is fading in and out of consciousness and Kerry tells her that she needs to stay awake.  A firefighter named Lopez is also at the scene of the accident.  Kerry asks her for more light.  Kerry cuts Vicky's belly open.  Carter and Susan send their patient up to surgery.  Carter thinks that the dog should have been the least of their patient's concern.  Susan had lost a dog and can sympathize with the woman.  Alger comes in to get Carter.  Gamma has been in a car accident and he thinks she may have broken her hip.  Carter sees her and she replies that it was raining very badly and she thinks she may have hit a dog.

Kerry continues to work on Vicky.  She gets the baby and pulls it out.  Luka asks Mark to move Daniel, so that he can make room for a paramedic.  Mark learns that Daniel had been smoking marijuana.  Daniel's mom and step-dad are very upset.  Vicky sees her baby and it is a boy.  Gallant jumps out of the back of the ambulance with the baby tightly in his grasp.  It needs to get to the ER.  Mark is suturing up Daniel and learns that his brother Joey is the only son of his step-dad.  Daniel and Joey's mom comes into the room and is very upset with Daniel.  Mark is upset about this and has her step out into the hall with him.  Mark scolds her for being so harsh to the boy.  Joey has been found and they go to meet him.  Reese is in the tub and Peter is giving him a bath.  Cleo is there and someone is at the door.  It is Roger.  Peter tells Roger that he is keeping his son.  Nicole offers to run and get coffee for the ER staff.  She asks Abby if she would like her to pick up some cigarettes for her.  A lot of the staff has had things come up missing and they figure out that it was Nicole stealing from them.  Frank scolds her and she runs off, with Luka chasing after her.  Gallant has arrived with the baby, so Luka comes back in with him.   Kerry is still at the accident scene with Vicky, who is not doing well at all, considering that Kerry has cut her belly open.  They are putting Vicky into the back of another ambulance ready to head to the ER.  As Kerry is getting ready to leave, she tells Lopez, who has an injured hand, that she needs to have it looked at.  The ambulance doors shut and they head to the ER.

Abby and Mark are heading back up to the roof to pick up Joey.  Carter goes in to check on his Gamma.  Susan is sitting with her.  She has broken her hip and is not doing well.  She will need a scan to see if she will need surgery.  Carter tells her that she had hit a woman.  As he is telling her about it, Carter is called out.  The woman she hit is crashing, So he and Susan go to assist her.  Mark and Abby work on Joey, but they are struggling because the family is in the way.  They are asked to leave and then escorted out of the trauma room.  Romano bumps into Weaver on her way in with Vicky.  He is upset about what she had done.  Chuny tells Weaver that it was a nice save.  Luka is with Gallant and the baby boy.  Nicole comes in and wants to speak with Luka.  Susan and Carter are still working on the young woman.  Mark and Abby are still assisting Joey.  He has no pulse or pressure.  They need to irrigate the bladder, due to all of the water he has ingested.  They are able to save him and the rain has stopped.  Carter is in the scanning room and speaks with the radiologist.  He is looking at her hip scan, when she begins to panic.  Carter runs in to check on her and she tells him that she wants to speak with his grandpa.  Carter tells her that he is dead and she tells him that she had forgotten.  This puts a worried look on Carter's face.  Abby is outside and she sees Luka putting Nicole into a cab.  She speaks to Luka and asks if Nicole is okay.  He responds, "No, not really".  He tells Abby that Nicole is pregnant.  He is worried about her because she had told him that her father had kicked her out when she was only sixteen.  The raises Abby's suspicions, since she had told her earlier that her father had committed suicide when she was younger.  Mark sees Daniel and tells him that Joey is going to be okay.  He then has a talk with him.  He wants him to never listen to his parent's when they are belittling him and saying bad things to him.  Gallant finds Weaver in the lounge.  Romano has sent him to tell her that Vicky is going to be okay.  He replies that they have saved everybody and Weaver responds that this was a good day.  He tells her that he likes the good days.
