Jeanie
is on her way to work when she hears police
sirens. It is Reggie. He offers to
drive her to work. He still thinks that
she is seeing someone else, since that is what
she has told him. Peter goes upstairs to
the audiologist to pick up Reece and he finds
out that Roger, Carla's fiancé has being
working with Reece also. Benton doesn't
seem to mind though. He calls Carla and
tells her that they need to talk. They
meet and find out that Carla and Roger had
gotten married and that Roger has been
transferred to Germany. She tells him
that they are all going to Germany and taken
Reece. Benton tells her NO WAY!
Kerry is on her way to work and sees a small
child, maybe 2 years old walking down the
sidewalk alone. He looks sick and is
unresponsive, so she takes him to the ER.
He is dehydrated and we later find out that
his name is Jack and he had been kidnapped by
the nanny and her drugged up boyfriend.
Lucy is late for work and she rushes in to
present a patients case to Romano, Greene and
Carter. She is unprepared and hyper.
Dr. Romano tells Carter that he needs to work
harder on his student. She tells Carter
later that she went off her Ritalin 2 days
ago. Antoine Bell, the student Carter is
mentoring, comes in with a black eye and
bloody nose. He had been mugged and his
wallet stolen. Carter cleans him up so
that he can make it to the interview that he
and Carter had been working so hard on.
A woman, Celinda Randlett, is in the ER.
She is medically empathetic and can tell what
is going on in people's bodies. She asks
Carol when her due date is and Carol replies
in mid November. Lydia looks at Carol
and Carol asks her to call Psych, as if the
woman is crazy. On the way to Magoo's,
Elizabeth and Mark almost get ran down by a
car. A 10 year old girl has taken over
the driving after her father had an epileptic
seizure. Carol's OB calls to the admin
desk and tells them that her appointment has
been canceled and to let her know. They
think it must be a mistake, but then they
begin to wonder. that she really might be
pregnant. Celinda sees Carol again and
tries to figure out if she is going to have a
boy or a girl, after staring at her a while
the woman just smiles. Elizabeth and
Mark accidentally walk in on Carol giving
herself an ultrasound. Elizabeth helps
her. They see a heartbeat. Then in
a couple of seconds they see two heartbeats.
Carol responds, "Twins?".
Jeanie hears the paramedics tell that a police
officer had been shot. Jeanie gets
worried and thinks that it may be Reggie.
Later we find out that it isn't, but Reggie
had shot and killed the man that shot the
officer. He is upset and they go for a
walk. Jeanie tells him that she had been
lying about having been seeing someone.
She was just afraid to tell him that she had
been diagnosed with Hepatitis C. Lucy
misses her appointment with Seth. She
won't let it happen again; she starts taking
the Ritalin again. Antoine
is back in the ER again all beat up. He
jumped the dude who stole his wallet and now
he has broken his left wrist and both hands
and will need surgery. He will not get
to go to his interview and his chances are
shot. Carter is upset with him and let's
him know it. On her way out
to go home, the whole ER staff congratulate
Carol and give her a box of diapers. She
tells them that she is going to have twins.
Peter goes and picks up Reece from the baby
sitter. She was not expecting him, but
lets him go with his father. Carla calls
Peter later and leaves a message on the
machine for her to call him. She is
worried about Reece because she knows that it
is not Peter's night to have him.
Elizabeth asks Mark what has been going on
between the two of them. He tells her
that he wants to get to know her better and
that he likes being with her.
