Carol
has a cleaning urge and Mark bumps into
Elizabeth. He tells her that he will be
attending a conference that she will be
presenting at later during the day. Mark
shows Carter and Jerry how to throw a Frisbee
the proper way. Mobalage comes up and
tells Mark that it is his last day. Mark
tells him that he thought everything went fine
with the immigration officials.
Mobablage tells him that he received amnesty
and will stay in the states. He will be
going to engineering school. Mark
congratulates him. Lynette speaks to
Carol about her scheduling Coco to come to the
clinic for monitoring. Carol never asked
Lynette and she wants to be asked and not told
next time. Lucy is still on her psych.
rotation. She is taking care of a man
named Michael McKenna who beat up his car.
Lucy speaks with his wife, Sally McKenna about
how he has been acting lately. She tells
Lucy that he is in law school and has been
stressed lately. Peter sees Jeanie and
asks her how she is doing. She is still
doing triage and not actually working on
patients. She tells him that she is
doing okay. Peter then runs into
Elizabeth and they discuss the trauma
fellowship. She apologizes for lashing
out at him before and tells him that he might
as well put his name in for it. Peter
tells her that there will be at least fifteen
applicants to apply. Jeanie takes care
of Reverend Matthew Lynn. He has hurt
his finger while hammering a gutter at his
church. She tells him that his thumb is
bleeding under the nail and will need to be
drained. She says that it is a simple
procedure and that someone will be with him
shortly. He asks her about church and
she tells him that she went as a child, but
does not go now. Romano stops Carter in
the hall and tells him that he will be
mentoring a student from the math/science
magnet school. His name is Antoine Bell.
Carter takes him around the ER with him and
lets him watch him in action. Lucy goes
to check on Michael and to speak to him about
what has been going on. She tells him
that his wife had mentioned that he has been
drinking a lot lately. She asks him why
he is drinking so much. He tells her
that it helps to quiet the voices that he
hears in his head. They are demons and
they want him to hurt his wife, but he hit the
car instead. Lynette tells Carol that
Coco is late for her appointment. Coco
arrives early though. Lynette had the
wrong time written down on her schedule.
Carol tells Coco that she is doing just fine
with her baby. Coco is keeping a record
journal of everything she is doing for her
baby. Mark takes care of Mr. Pipitone.
He has hurt his foot and Mark tells him that
he will have to stay off of it for two weeks.
He tells Mark that it will interfere with his
ballroom dancing. Mark tells him that he
knows how to do the tango. Carol has a
young boy that she is tending to. He is
a foster child and his foster mother has
brought him in after he put his hand through a
window. His name is Seth Williams and he
is very angry. He kicks Carol and she
tells the foster mother that she will get a
psych. consult. A man is brought in
after being stabbed in a robbery. His
name is Mr. Cho and his wife died at the
scene. Elizabeth and Carter work on his
throat, where he was stabbed. Peter is
covering traumas and he takes over, so
Elizabeth walks out. She gets on the
elevator with Romano and mentions that Peter
is applying for the trauma fellowship.
He tells her that he has been kept out of the
loop and had no idea. Jeanie sees that
Reverend Lynn is still waiting to be taken
care of. She apologizes and he asks why
she can not do it. She tells him about
her having Hepatitis C, but that does not
bother him. Lucy talks to Seth and his
foster mom again. She tells Lucy that he
has been in several homes over the past three
years. She tells Lucy all of the
medication that he is on and she thinks that
he is being over medicated. Mark takes
care of a Mr. Putnam who has fallen on a
sprinkler while jogging. He has a bad
puncture wound. Carol helps him lift him
on to a bed. Carol is hurt and she walks
out. She later comes back and asks Mark
to help her. She tells him that she is
cramping and spotting. He asks about her
period and she tells him that she is pregnant.
Mark does an ultrasound, but can not find a
heartbeat. He tells her to make an
appointment with OB for another one. She
tells him that she has not told Doug yet.
Carter looks at a little boy who he thinks may
have lead poisoning. Carter shows
Antoine how to look at the results under a
microscope. He tells him that children
who have inadequate diets and live in older
buildings are high risk for lead poisoning.
Antoine seems concerned. Peter and
Romano use the A.E.S.O.P. to perform a cardiac
procedure. Romano is impressed about how
well he uses the equipment and how he knows
the procedure. Romano later tells him
that he knows that he has applied for the
trauma fellowship. He thought that he
was interested in the cardio/thoracic
fellowship. Peter tells him that
cardio/thoracic would be his first choice.
Lucy checks on Seth again. He tells her
that his mother died in a car crash and
that it was his dad's fault. He tells
her that his dad is an alcoholic. Lucy
tells him that she grew up in a single parent
home also. He tells her that he wished
his dad would come and see him sometime.
Mark asks Carol if she would like to go to a
movie with him. She tells him that she
is okay and that he does not have to look
after her. Coco finds Carol and asks her
a question. She wants to know how to
wash her baby and Carol shows her how.
Elizabeth tries to catch a taxi, but someone
else grabs it. She throws her overhead
papers down in the street and Mark runs over
to help her. He tells her that they can
take the train to the hotel. Carter sees
Antoine outside talking to his friends.
He gives him a little advise about socializing
on the job. Antoine was just asking his
friends to go and get a baby that he suspects
of having lead poisoning. Carter is
impressed with him. Jeanie has just
drained Reverend Lynn's thumb when Peter
arrives to do it. Peter knows who he is
and he tells Jeanie that he was his mom's
minister. He remembers
Peter's mom mentioning Jeanie and tells her
that she was her angel. The three
of them join hands and he prays for Jeanie.
Mark helps Elizabeth organize her papers.
He asks her about Peter and she tells him that
they broke up. The train did not stop
where they thought it was and they have t get
off at the next stop and run to the hotel.
They go to the wrong room and end up
interrupting a wedding. They run for the
elevator, but it is too slow, so they take the
stairs. They end up getting locked in to
an empty area of the hotel. Dr. Myers
and Dr. Deraad tell Lucy that she has done a
great job with Seth. She wants to
continue counseling him. Mark and
Elizabeth speak to each other about being
lonely, when a maintenance man comes and
unlocks the door. They have missed the
conference so they go have a drink instead.
Jeanie goes to see Reverend Lynn at church and
sees that he is working already. She
will probably tell him about her good test
results. Carol has her ultrasound and
she gets to see the baby's heartbeat.
Mark hears tango music, so he and Elizabeth
crash the wedding and dance.
