Carol
has her paramedic ride along today. Dr.
Romano meets Jeanie Boulet. Benton tells
her that Scott Anspaugh will need surgery.
Dog tells Mark that he has bought the rings
for him and Carol and he is going to surprise
her tonight with a wedding 1 minute after
midnight. Doug asks Mark to be the best
man. Jeanie is the one to tell Scott
that his tumor is back. She promises him
hockey tickets, which she has to pay Mailik
highly for. Elizabeth wants to do the
larynx surgery on Allison. Romano tells
her that it will be okay for her to assist Dr.
Kotlowitz. Chase comes and pays Carter a
surprise visit in the ER. He is wanting
medicine and Anna over hears their
conversation. She tells him that she
knows what he is going through because she
went through it with an old boyfriend of hers.
Carter tells her that she doesn't know how the
Carter family is and to mind her own business.
Carter tells him that he needs to go to a
detox facility. Kerry is figuring out
all about S.P.G. and she doesn't like what she is
learning. She figures out that Ellis
West is only concerned about the money and not
the patients. Another elderly woman is
found with the word WHORE written across her
chest. Carol and Dean Powell are called
to the apartment where she is found.
Dean does not like what he sees and gets very
upset. Carol has to calm him down.
They take her to the ER where Mark tends to
her, but she dies. Allison has her
surgery and is able to tell Elizabeth
"Thank you". Carter goes to
see Chase at his apartment. The place is
a mess and his maid has quit. Carter is
there to help him detox. The door bell
rings and a "upper class" drug
dealer is there. Carter tells him to
leave. Anspaugh asks Jeanie to be
Scott's part time private care giver. He
thinks very highly of her and Scott does also.
Elizabeth and Peter go out. She shows
Peter how to shoot darts. Powell and
Carol go to the roof of the apartment building
that the elderly woman lived in to find her
cat. While they are up there, he tells
her why he freaked out at the sight of the
woman. He tells her that it reminded him
of when his mother hung herself. He was
the one who had found her. Carol tells
him about her attempted suicide. He
calls her "Super Nurse". Carol
let's Powell kiss her. Anna shows up at
Chases. She has the medicine that Carter
had phoned in. Anna stays around and
helps them out. Carter appreciates it.
Elizabeth gets Peter slightly drunk and asks
him back to her place, but he turns her down
nicely and gets in a cab to go home.
Carol comes home late to find Doug worried and
mad. She had ruined his plan for a
surprise wedding. She tells him about
Dean Powell and he leaves.
