Mark
calls a staff meeting. He is having a
hard time dealing with Susan's absence, so he
is taking charge of the ER. He is tired
of Kerry haven taken over. He wants to
make a name for himself. The flu is
going around, and Randi looks like she is
getting it, but she continues to tell everyone
that she does NOT have it. She hates
shots. Carol is worried about her mid
term exam later on in the day. Jeanie
takes care of a woman in a lot of pain who has
sickle cell. Peter and Carter scrub in
for a surgery with Keaton. Peter gets
called out of the surgery to assist
Morganstern, which upsets Peter because he had
been study so long for this operation on a
child. Mark asks Doug to help out with
some of the adult patients because the ER is
so busy with people with influenza. Al
Boulet comes in to the ER and Mark takes care
of him. He sees that he is HIV positive
and Mark asks him if he is related to Jeanie
Boulet. He tells him that she was his
wife and that their divorce was final a month
ago. Al gets admitted to the hospital
and Mark goes to find Jeanie. He tells
her that he is sorry, that he didn't know she
had been going through all of this. She
tells him that she hasn't, it has been Al
going through it alone. She tells Mark
that she got tested and it was negative; she
didn't have AIDS. Mark goes to Kerry and
tells her that they may have a problem with
Jeanie Boulet. Kerry doesn't find it
concerning. Abby tells Carter that she
will be leaving to go to Pakistan soon.
Carter is upset, he had been having so much
fun with her. She tells him that they
can still have the same kind of fun until she
leaves. This makes him feel better about
it. Mark goes to the file room and lies
to get in to the Boulet medical records.
He sees that Jeanie was lying and she had
tested positive also. Carol goes
upstairs to attend a re-engineering meeting.
She wants the nurses to stop being floated.
Mark comes back down to the ER and sees
Jeanie. She is taking care of her sickle
cell patient and asks Mark to increase the
pain killers because her patient is really
hurting. Mark tells Jeanie to cover the
waiting room and he will take care of the
patient. Gant is covering the ER and is
loaded down with patients and charts.
Bento just doesn't let up on the poor guy.
Jeanie senses that Mark knows about her HIV,
so she goes and chews Al out for telling him.
Al tells her that he didn't, but he should
have gone to a different hospital. Mark
tells Kerry what he found out and she tells
him that it was none of his business.
Carter offers to help Gant, but Gant tells him
that Benton would be mad if he found out.
Mark goes to see Anspaugh about Jeanie.
Anspaugh agrees with Kerry about not making a
big deal about it. Anspaugh doesn't want
anything to cause Jeanie to talk to legal
about it. Jeanie goes to the records
room and sees that Mark inquired about her
file. Mark has neglected Jeanie's sickle
cell patient and this makes Jeanie very mad.
She is going to take care of her anyways.
Benton lets Carter know what a good job he has
been doing during his surgical rotation.
Benton wants Keaton to let him know the same.
Carol and William are done with their exam and
Doug meets them there. The three of them
go to get a milk shake to celebrate.
Carter and Keaton go to cut down the Carter
family tree.

Hathaway continues her pre-med studies but
oversteps her boundaries with Weaver.
