Mark
can't stop thinking about Jodi O'Brien.
Susan tells him to go home and that she will
get someone to cover for him. There is a
full moon and a lot of strange things happen
in the ER. A man strapped to a gurney
sits straight up with it attached to his back
and storms through the ER knocking things down
and busting through windows. He is high
on some kind of drugs. Susan says,
"Full moon Saturday night." and
Carter replies, "Cool". Deb
and Carter are competing to see who gets the
most procedures in their procedures book.
Mark meets the new ER chief at Doc Magoo's,
but he doesn't know who he is. Dr. Swift
later shows up in the ER and the rest of the
staff think he is just a moon lighter.
Susan orders him around a while. Peter
argues with Tag about releasing his mother
from the hospital too early. Tag knows
"Wild Willy", the new ER chief.
Susan apologizes to him, but he was impressed
with her. Peter goes upstairs to see his
mother. He finds her strapped to her
bed. He unstrapps her and wants to find
out who did this to her. Jeanie tells
him that it was her and he tells her to not
come back. Susan sees a man who has had
the hiccups for 2 days. He is going to
be getting married in two weeks and his fiancée
is with him. We later find that he may
have AIDS and that his fiancée believes that
he has not be honest with her. Carol
gets a call saying that there are 15 to 20
people being brought in that were in a night
club fire and a majority of them have 3rd
degree burns. Doug gets a page telling
him to come to the ER. It is 2:30 am and
he is at Diane's house. She tells him
that he can come back when he is done, but
that he will have to be out before Jake wakes
up. Mark gets paged also, but he is at
the arcade and does not respond. Doug
arrives at the ER in 29 minutes and 32
seconds. It was a surprise drill by Dr.
Swift. He was testing them to see how
fast they could mobilize. He wonders why
Chief Resident Mark Greene didn't show up.
Susan has told him that Mark had the flu and
went home. Deb and Carter work on a
drunk with a broken finger. Deb causes a
big flame and she asks Carter not to tell
anyone. Swift holds a meeting and Mark
calls to speak with Susan. She tells him
what is going on and he rushes in. Wild
Willy is surprised to see that he is the man
he saw earlier at Doc Magoo's and that he
doesn't seem to have the flu. He hands
Mark some stuff to read and tells him to go
home and that he will speak with him in the
morning. Peter goes back upstairs to be
with his mom, but she is not in the bed.
She is on the floor and should have been
restrained in the bed as Jeanie had told him.
Doug is on his way back to Diane's and finds
Mark waiting on the train. He is still
upset about Jodi and Doug tells him that it
was not his fault. Doug gets on the
train and tells Mark to go home. Jen
finds Mark still at the train station the next
morning. Her and Mark go for breakfast.
Benton goes to Jeanie's to apologize.
Her husband, Al Boulet, meets him at the door.
Benton asks Jeanie to help get his mother in a
nice home and he apologizes to her about the
restraints. Back at the ER, Carol asks
Susan to be a brides maid. Susan
accepts. Dr. Swift tells Susan that
there are going to be some changes around the
ER and that she would make a good Attending.
Carter has "Twist and Shout"
requested on the radio for Susan.

NBC Review
NIGHT OF THE LIVING, DEAD -- Carter and Chen
extend their shifts to experience the ER during
a full moon, and they are not disappointed.
Greene is so despondent over the breakup of his
marriage that Lewis is left to run the ER.
Lewis's skills impresses the new ER Chief, Dr.
Swift (Michael Ironside). Patients include nine
naked fraternity pledges are brought in with
frostbite after a hazing stunt, a drunk man hit
by a car, a hiccuping guy who "comes out" to his
fiancee after being diagnosed with HIV.

TV Guide Review
March 30, 1995: Full Moon, Saturday Night:
The staff welcomes the new chief (Michael
Ironside), a perfectionist who shakes things
up with his management style. Meanwhile, Greene
remains inconsolable over a patient's death.
