Jerry
comes to work in the snow singing Jingle
Bells. Wendy roller blades through the
ER. It is a very slow night and a snow
storm is on the way. Mark tells Susan
that Jen has gone back to Milwaukee, earlier
than expected. Susan and Mark put a full
leg cast on Carter as he sleeps. After
they are done, the rest of the staff watch as
they page him to trauma one stat. He
comes out of the room and falls from his heavy
leg. Some of them go outside and have a
snow ball fight and the nurses stay inside and
play hockey while rolling around in chairs.
Malik raps over the PA. Mookie tells
him that he isn't too good. Bob
decorates for Christmas. Carol tells the
staff that she and Tag have gotten engaged.
As she is telling them, Doug and Linda arrive
just back from their Bahamas trip. Doug
congratulates Carol. A temp clerk helps
out at the front desk. She is not very
good answering the phones. Linda takes a
look at Carol's engagement ring and tells her
that it cost about $12,000.00. The ER
gets a call about a multi-vehicle accident.
There are 18 major and 29 minor injuries and
they all have to come to the ER. The
other hospital in the area is inaccessible.
The ER fills up quickly with casualties.
A man walks in with his thumb in a bag after
it has been ripped off and a man comes in
without his leg. It has been lost in the
snow. Mookie helps out where needed.
A little girl is found alone in the snow and
is brought in crying. Haleh calms her
down by singing to her. Patrick has
walked to the ER. Dr. Morganstern comes
in and starts taking charge so that Mark can
help out. Doug sees a new staff member
and tries to put her on bedpan duty, but she
quickly lets him know that she is Dr. Angela
Hicks and is the new ER Attending. Doug
misdiagnosed a patient and he died. He
has to tell his patient's family. Linda
helps out answering phones. Susan has a
patient who needs a very important procedure
done on his heart, but Peter and Hicks are
busy with the guy with the missing leg.
Bob is in the room and decides to do the
procedure herself. Wendy and the other
nurses look on in shock to see her cut open
the patient. Afterwards the patient's
heart beats back and Bob runs out of the ER.
Susan comes back to the room to find the
patient improving and the nurses tell her Bob
did it. Carter later finds Bob outside.
She tells him that she use to be a vascular
surgeon in Poland, but has not been certified
in the states. Mark, Hicks, and Benton
do a reattachment on the guy's leg after it
was found. Mark walks a plumber through
a baby delivery over the phone. The man
does a great job and is on his way in to the
hospital. Linda speaks with Carol about
perfect love. She tells Carol that Doug
is Carol's one perfect love. As Mark is
leaving, the plumber and his wife and new baby
boy are walking up. They thank him and
he gives him a hug.

NBC Review
SNOW TIME TO WASTE -- When a blizzard brings
Chicago to a stand still, the ER staff finds
creative ways to pass the time. Just when they
are reaching new levels of boredom, a
fifteen-car pileup on the expressway wreaks
havoc in the ER. With mass casualties, the
Chicago Sheriff's department must escort in
additional doctors to assist.

December 8, 1994: Blizzard: A severe
winter storm blankets the Windy City with snow,
bringing the E.R. to a virtual standstill —
