Jeanie Boulet's husband that she is separated
from. A transit authority worker and later a construction worker.
We first see him in Episode 027 "Summer Run".
He is working on Jeanie's car when Benton comes up. He doesn't even
suspect that they are having an affair.
He meets Jeanie at Doc Magoo's and tells her that he
wants to give the marriage another try, but Jeanie doesn't want to hear it in
Episode 036 " Dead of Winter".
Comes into the ER in Episode 046
"Take These Broken Wings". He can't seem to get rid of the
flu, but finds out that he as AIDS. Jeanie has to tell him and
she later gets tested. She catches it from him. Jeanie and Al
have already been separated when his HIV status is
revealed.
He surprises Jeanie with divorce papers in Episode 055
"Union Station".
Jeanie gets Al on an experimental
A.I.D.S.
program in Episode 067 "Random Acts".
Al's HIV status is exposed in Episode 072
"Friendly Fire" to his employers following an accident at work. No one will employ him any more.
Jeanie and Al briefly get back together before Al moves away to
Atlanta get work in Episode 078 "Obstruction
of Justice".
Season 14 Episode 11
Jeanie Boulet visits the ER and tells Haleh that Al had passed away.
