Anna Del Amico joins the ER as a guest star in Episode 067
"Random Acts" as a Pediatrician Intern specializing in Emergency Medicine, she becomes a permanent cast member in Season 4.
Her position as a Pediatrician initially causes friction with Doug, although this seems to resolve.
She becomes a doctor consult in Carol's clinic in
Episode 075 "Ground Zero".
She gets a holiday kiss from medical student
Henry (Chad Lowe) in Episode 079 "Do you see what I see?".
She helps Carter detox his cousin Chase in
Episode 081 "Sharp Relief". She has had to do this with her
ex-boy friend Max and knows what he is going through.

and Carter share a kiss in Episode 087
"Gut Reaction".
Carter and Anna's relationship if further strained when Dr. Max Rocher,
turns up in Episode 089 "Of Past Regret and
Future Fear". This is the same guy she helped out when he
was addicted to pain killers.
Anna leaves at the end of Season 4, Carter reveals that she has gone to work in a
Pediatric ER in Philadelphia, her family and boyfriend (Max Rocher) are there.
