Season 6
Doctor from Croatia who moonlights in the ER until Kerry tells him that he
is no longer needed after hiring Dr. Lawrence in Episode 116 "Greene With Envy".
He is really sensitive to the children and women being abused. Lives
on a boat.
He is later asked by Kerry to become a permanent member of
the ER staff following Dr
Lawrence's departure, he accepts the position without even asking how much it will pay.
Luka reveals to Kerry that his wife and children were taken from him and later killed during the Croatian war.
Season 7
Attending
ER physician and he now dates Abby Lockhart. We learn a lot about Luka and
his family when he tends to a Bishop.
Season 8
Breaks
up with Abby and gets involved with an acquaintance, Nicole. He is able to
get her a job in the ER. Things do not work out between them and she
leaves, after having an abortion. He
never knew that she was pregnant with his
child, or was it even his? Abby made her
feel guilty about using Luka, so she
left. Luka let Abby stay with him for a
short while after she had an incident with a
neighbor.
Season 9
Luka has a hard time and almost everyone in the
ER is effected, especially medical student Erin
Harkins. Luka ends up going to Africa to
save the world, but will he return in Season 10?
Season 10
The ER receives a call that Luka has died in Africa.
Carter leaves to find him. Luka was found alive and returned to
Chicago. Upon his return, he decides to treat the patients in a
manner like he treated them in the Congo. He doesn't use as much
time and money on the patients if not needed. Luka shows interest
in new nurse Samantha Taggart and her son Alex.
Season 11
Luka and nurse Samantha Taggart are still involved.
Season 12
Luka and Sam have split and Luka seems to be happier.
He and Abby even had a fling. They are now a serious couple and
are expecting a child. Luka is now the Chief of the ER.
Season 13
Luka is still the Attending Physician and is a new
father to a son. Dr. Abby Lockhart is the mother of his child.
Luka has to deal with a disgruntled patient during this season.
