Cardiologist.

Season 1
Disagrees with Susan over treatment of a patient who has had an MI (Myocardial Infarction - Heart Attack), Susan gives TPA whereas Kayson prefers Angioplasty.

Susan consults Kayson on a patient, he blows her off as he is busy. Susan releases the patient but he later returns with an MI and dies. Kayson blames Susan for not being aggressive enough, but when the case is reviewed Kayson is blamed.

Later Kayson is admitted with chest pain, Susan is treating him. Another cardiologist recommends Angioplasty but Kayson wants T.P.A.. Susan makes sure he receives the treatment he wants. Kayson recovers and later asks Susan to be his Valentine.

Season 5
Refuses to treat an immigrant child who needs an internal defibrillator for an arrhythmia that could kill him as he is uninsured.

Season 9

Dr. Kayson returned in the episode "Dead Again" to do a consult on a patient who he eventually pronounced dead.  Pratt, decided to revive the "Dead" patient and succeeds, causing the man's family much grief eventually.  He also appeared in "A Little Help From My Friends" and in "Walk Like A Man".

Season 10

Dr. Kayson returned in the episode "Forgive and Forget".

Season 11

Dr. Kayson returned in the episodes "Fear" and in "Ruby Redux" to tend to old time patient Jules 'Ruby' Rubadoux.
